Definitions of "Recreational Commuting"
- Having fun while riding your bike to the office or running errands.
- Social Commuting; joining others on the trip into the office; taking routes that are a bit out of the way so you can join others.

- The word Recreation comes from Re-Creation. We create ourselves again when we ride our bikes instead of taking motorized transportation.
Recreational Commuting Rides (Bike Pools)
Beginners are welcome to join us on these rides into Downtown/Midtown. We're a friendly group who would like to encourage others share in the fun of bike commuting.
- 3rd Friday Commute - Decatur to Midtown. Monthly ride includes a stop at the Thumbs Up Diner to meet with other bike commuters.
- Wednesday Commute - Candler Park to Ga Tech. Weekly ride starts in VaHi and circles toward Emory before joining the PATH trail through Candler Park into Tech.
- Recreational Commuting - Learning that riding a bike to work involves more than simply getting from point A to point B.
- Social Commuting - Recounts the inaugural "3rd Friday Commute" and the energy that overcame the challenges of merging routes and schedules so we can ride together.
